Employee Spotlight: Brian DiMattesa
by Lauren Weidner
This quarter our employee spotlight is on Brian DiMattesa, CPA. Brian graduated from Penn State University in 2002 where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He joined the firm in September 2002 and passed the CPA exam the following year. We are proud to announce Brian’s promotion to Supervisor effective January 1, 2009.
Brian provides tax and accounting services to clients in the medical and engineering fields and auditing services to entities offering low income housing through government programs. Brian is a member of the firm’s Computer Resource Group and was an integral part of the committee assigned to develop our employee procedures manual. Brian’s responsibilities as a member of the Computer Resource Group include monitoring new developments in computer hardware and software, implementing necessary staff training for the improvement of computer skills, and advising management of any technological enhancements that may surface. Brian is also part of the firm’s QuickBooks training team. He, along with other staff members, provides on-site training to clients who are new to QuickBooks. His training offers basic instruction on how to navigate through the software and educates clients about the features that would best fit their individual needs.
Brian is a member of the New Jersey Society of CPAs and the National and Philadelphia Chapters of the Penn State Alumni Association.
Born and raised in Washington Township, he now resides in Gloucester Township with his wife, Becky, of almost three years. During the summer, they enjoy spending time at the Jersey shore and when he can sneak away during tax season, they enjoy skiing in the Poconos. As an avid Penn State football fan, Brian has traveled as far as the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Texas to root for his alma mater.

Bob Gargone and his staff will remain at the Hammonton office and will be joined by Kelly Raso, Hammonton resident and associate partner at Alloy Silverstein. Ren Cicalese will divide his time between Cherry Hill and Hammonton and oversee daily operations of both offices.
“We are committed to providing the highest level of quality service to our clients. “This merger will enhance services and expand resources available to clients of both firms,” says Ren, “Alloy Silverstein has maintained a reputation of professional excellence in the Greater Philadelphia Region for nearly 50 years. We are eager for the opportunity to put that reputation on display to the people of Hammonton.”
