LOCAL CPA AWARDED HONORARY DISTINCTION BY THE AICPA

Shapiro, CPA, PFS, a Cherry Hill, NJ resident, was recently recognized as an Honorary Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in appreciation of continuing contributions to the profession.
The AICPA is the national professional association of CPAs with more than 350,000 members in public, business and industry, government, and education, but few receive the title of Honorary.
Besides holding the position of Chairman at Alloy Silverstein, Steve is a Director of both the SLM Corporation (Sallie Mae) and MetLife Bank, Chairman of the Nominations and Governance Committee of Sallie Mae, member of the Rutgers University Executive Advisory Council, board member of the Virtua Hospital Foundation, member of the Personal Financial Planning Section of CPAs, and Federal Key Person of the American Institute of CPAs. He was also inducted into the Temple University Accounting Hall of Fame where he received his B.S. degree in Accounting.
