Raymond Silverstein, CPA

Mr. Silverstein is a 1949 graduate of Temple University. Except for two years spent in the Armed Forces and one year with the General Accounting Office, his service with the firm had been uninterrupted from graduation until his retirement in 2001.

He is a retired member of the American Institute of CPA's, New Jersey Society of CPA's, Pennsylvania Institute of CPA's and the panel of the American Arbitration Association.

Mr. Silverstein has extensive experience with financial institutions. He served as director and financial consultant to Fidelity Bank and Trust of New Jersey. He was also the Director of Commercial Bancshares of Jersey City, New Jersey, prior to its merger into United Jersey Bank Financial Corp. He served as Chairman of the Board of United Jersey Bank South, N.A., from 1984 until its merger with Summit Bancorp in 1995. He is a past director of Summit Bancorp and Summit Bank. Mr. Silverstein's experience with health care institutions includes eight years as a trustee of the J.F. Kennedy Hospital and three years as a trustee of Likoff Cardiovascular Institute. He also served as the Chairman of Board of the Kennedy Health Care Foundation.

A specialist in the area of divorce-related accounting matters, Mr. Silverstein has attended several summer sessions at Harvard Law School where he has taken courses relating to taxation and divorce. He has lectured before the New Jersey judicial College, Camden County Bar Association and the Philadelphia Chapter of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. From 1972 until his retirement, Mr. Silverstein has undertaken responsibility for divorce and other litigation matters. On several occasions, he has been court appointed to assist in resolving financial issues, as well as being appointed as a master.

A 60-year resident of South Jersey currently residing in Palm Beach, Florida, Mr. Silverstein retains a strong allegiance to South Jersey. He is married (50 years) with two children and one grandchild.
