Online stimulus rebate tool

The IRS has posted a new online tool on its website, www.irs.gov, to help individuals learn the amount and date of deposit/mailing of their 2008 economic stimulus payments. Where's my Stimulus Payment? is similar to the IRS's Where's My Refund? tool. However, payment information will not be available on Where's my Stimulus Payment? until the time that the individual's payment is scheduled to be direct deposited or mailed. Refer to the article on page 4, "Tax rebates on their way" for additional information regarding the stimulus rebates.
